Founded in 1872 as copper and brass factory by Louis Opländer, the company now has subsidiaries in about 70 countries and employs about 7.500 people worldwide (yearly average).[1]

WILO SE is the managerial holding of the Wilo group, a result of a merger between Wilo-Salmson AG and Wilo GmbH in 2002. In 2015, a turnover of 1,317.1 Mrd EUR was achieved.
